Style Techie Spotlight: Codeacademy

Ever want to build your own website but don’t know how to code? Codeacademy offers FREE lessons with easy-to-follow tutorials that cover JavaScript, Python, Ruby, JQuery, and other web fundamentals.

I have some basic HTML skills (which means I know how to use HTML tags, but that’s about it…) and I just finished one of the lessons in the web fundamentals track.

The lesson was a great refresher and I also learned new HTML tags that I hadn’t heard of before.

The site is super easy to use, fast, and really straightforward and informative. Best of all, it’s all FREE! I’m a fan of them now, for sure (and I’ve only done one lesson so far!). So, if you want to learn how to code, Codeacademy is a great place to start.

Does anyone know if there are other resources just as good as Codeacademy that are also free? Leave a comment and give them a shout-out!
